Christmas Cards

In the run up to Christmas, Me and a friend (Samuel Davies) decided to create personal Christmas Cards using Letterpress. Fitting it in and around other engagements was hard but the effort put in is reflected in them.

Personal Touch

It was good to work as part of a team and also to see a design from the initial doodle to the finished product the entire way through.

Self Explanatory

Composition + Meaning - Paul Bailey

Experimenting

During this session by Paul Bailey, we concentrated on how to step out of grids and how we naturally compose images dependant on a theme. The themes were; Order, Balance and structure. Using Paul's MA photography we had to compose with any of the materials given in relation to our given word - Structure.

Patience Is A Virtue - Jo Spencer

NoteBook

The task set was to find a piece of work that we would dream of doing and then acting out a role play challenging the atmosphere of designer vs client. I chose the Jamie Oliver Illustrations on Jamie At Home. In particular the animation for the television programme.

Favourite Quotes - Letterpress

Letterpress of Favourite Quote

I wanted to give my eyes a break from the computer screen and I headed down to the Letterpress studio one lunch time. Using my previous design (Favourite Quote Post) I used Baskerville 48pt to create the body copy.

Notice A Mistake?

Accidentally the 'y' in why is at the wrong height which couldnt be rectified as i had no time. But i will develop it and also add illustration to the design.

Near the student union there are pub benches with creative drawings all over them. This in particular caught my eye as it was so clear against the other immature doodles.

Interbrand

London Office

My new project, I am lucky to be working with Interbrand, one of the largest branding companies in the World. Their customers stretch from Post It to McDonalds. Having done a branding project  previously, I have an insight on what is expected but the formula used in Interbrand is comprehensive. This would be a dream place to intern.

Neville Brody - Untitled

Neville Brody - Lecture

I went into University to do some work for my new project when I overheard from some of my classmates that Neville Brody was doing a lecture. It was fate, I had to go and it really was a life changing experience. My idea on the future of graphic design was completely changed, Neville Brody explained that digital will become the new paper ultimately. And that his studio are inclined to take someone for an internship who is digitally strongest.

As a person he is light hearted but also sure of what he is saying. His impact on everyone in the theatre was astounding. He went to LCP, and was failed because he didn't have commercial potential. And now he is one of the most recognised designers in the world.

Why Not Associates

Branding Project

The Why Not Associates project really opened my eyes to the concept of branding and how it just isn't about a logo but an entire identity. This was my first project, we worked with Gustavo Fernandes. He is a truly inspiring person and was glad to learn a little about how he works. Our task was to create a 20page PDF that is primarily a guideline for a new brand.

Addiction PR - Icon (White)

Addiction PR - Icon (White)

Inspired by the luxury brand Louis Vuitton, I created this icon to resemble the company. Simply using black and white to be consistant with the original design but to also be strong visually without "Addiction PR." This can be used on business cards as well as a stamp for their guests in Mayfair.

Photoshop Composition

Quadrophenia is my favourite film, I am a wannabe Mod and this is the phrase that has always stuck by me ever since I first saw the film years ago. Instead of using a traditional vintage style model. I have gone with a contemporary take on what a Mod today would look like - Ben Sherman Suit. Playing with  grayscale to give the image a dated effect.

Logo Design

Addiction Promotions

I was asked by a friend to create an identity for his new Promotions company for the West End, after creating many versions we both agreed with this design. Simple. elegant and suited for the target audience. Using visual research on the current designs used by Mayfair companies, I decided to use a similar style to represent the wealthy expectation.
