Letterpress Studio
The Letterpress is what made the London College of Printing. This old tradition of printing text and creating media is a dying trade. I am very fortunate to be able to use these facilities for my work. At first I was very timid about using this as I am use to screen printing but once I had my introduction I was hooked. The studio has original typefaces used from when it was a printing college, there are 30 lead typefaces in various sizes. There is also wood and nylon type for larger text. I am going to practice as much as I can so i can produce something breath taking like below...
